Laugh Lines is an exploration of joyful design using linoleum squares and turning them into handheld stamps. My goal for this project was to create a fun experience with different facial expressions that you can stamp with. Through extensive experimentation, I played with different facial shapes and held a workshop with friends to see what different faces they can make—from happy to sad. This project helped me push myself into making my own interchangeable stamps using stamp holders, linoleum rubber, basswood, and magnets. I envision this prototype to be a branded set that comes along with waterproof inking pads, notepad, stamp holders as well as the stamps.
